There’ve been some amazing pictures and images of Cork city emerging in recent weeks.
We love the city we live in, drink in, and eat out in and we enjoy great nights out around its beautiful streets, but we’re always delighted to see the wider world appreciating our finer points too!
Nothing caught our eye quite as well as Raymond Fogarty’s ‘Flight over Cork City’ though, which has already collected tens of thousands of views on YouTube.
Raymond captured a flight over the city, on a fine sunny afternoon in April, and we took a keen eye to spot The Bodega and wave at the folks in the Mutton Lane Inn as the drone passed down Patrick’s Street and around the city centre – but when the flight approached Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, our jaws opened, opened wider and then dropped.
The footage, literally, was the only topic of conversation at the bar counter for a day or two as who has ever looked down on the Cathedral’s roof like that before?! New to both local Corkonians and visitors alike…
Our city bustles every day of the year – but on a clear, sunny Spring afternoon, there is nothing like taking in the views that we are very lucky to have on our doorsteps.
This blog is all about celebrating and highlighting the very best of Cork, its craft beers, local food and wonderful people – so take a look, and see how many Cork Heritage Pubs you can spot…
