January At Cork Heritage Pubs

We’re into a New Year here in Cork Heritage Pubs. 2024 was some cracker, 2025 will be better, believe us!.

We know people often wonder what to do in January, don’t think, we have it all mapped out for you. Free gigs, delectable dishes and warm atmospheric pubs.

Crane Lane Theatre as always has live entertainment 7 nights a week, we have some amazing free gigs lined up. Check out the full listing here. The Pavilion & Intermission will be bopping and dancing all January long, the party never stops. Have a look at their full lineup HERE. Cantys Bar on Pembroke Street has gigs 4 nights a week with two acts on Fridays/ Saturdays & Sundays. Everything is 100% free with live sport and horse racing all day aswell. In the mood for a bit of trad music, Sin É on Coburg Street has the longest running trad session in the city. 7 nights a week, come along, have jig, make some friends, you’ll meet some amazing people on the way.  The Poor Relation on Parnell Place has his all weekend long free of charge. If you find yourself in Ballincollig, Artys Bar is the perfect place to spend any night of the week, what’s more, they have live music every weekend.

Attempting a dry January? Don’t let your pallet suffer too. We have some of the best food around Cork City available 7 days a week. Arthur Maynes Pharmacy on Pembroke Street offers breakfast, lunch & dinner 7 nights a week. It is one of the only restaurants in Cork City serving food until 1.30AM, (not doing a dry January?) pop Upstairs for a hand crafted cocktail after you eat, thank us later!. The Old Town Taqueria have opened a late night taco shop right next door, Birria & Chicken Tacos made to order for your delight, what’s more? They serve coffee all day long along an array of soft drinks. Old Brennans on Oliver Plunkett Street has a beautifully made menu perfect paired with amazing wines from around the world. The Old Town Whiskey Bar at Bodega has the best pub grub in the city, burgers, wings, nachos, the whole nine yards. If you fancy a good feed, you have to pay them a visit. Find them HERE. Mutton Lane on Patricks Street is the perfect cosy haven for any pint lover, the walls could tell stories you wouldn’t believe, voted best city bar in Ireland 2024. The Oval on Tuckey Streets fire will be roaring all January long, this is another amazing meet up spot to have a chat/ pint or maybe coffee with a loved one or friend. You can literally fall out of the Oval and find yourself right in the heart of The Park Bar, check out their cocktail menu and delicious pints.
