Southern Gothic is a free Music Festival based in the Crane Lane Theatre, Cork City. The festival kicks off on the upcoming May bank holiday weekend – Friday, May 2nd to Monday, May 5th, 2014- and celebrates its 5th year in bringing the best blues, soul and rock ‘n’ roll acts to the people of Cork.
Southern Gothic defines the nexus between punk, blues, soul, rock ‘n’ roll, groove and other underground/ independent genres. It presents a mix of music that is both wide ranging yet strangely intuitive, and provides a line up of acts that has a unique universal DIY spirit, themed with an appreciation for the blues, which is a truly unique combination in this day and age.
